Only Admin users can download Points Logs.
About Points Logs
Points Logs are CSV files that contain a record of every Point and Reward recorded in your school. They can be saved as a historical record, or they can be used for custom analyses.
Things to note about Points Logs:
If a Behavior or Reward has been re-named, the original name will still appear in the Points Log for past transactions
If a Student or Staff has been re-named, the original name will still appear in the Points Log for past transactions
Points awarded retroactively will appear at the bottom of the CSV, not in date order
Data by Column
On a points log, you can view:
Site Name - The name of site at which the transactions were completed
Student - The student's name
Student Grade – The student's grade
Student Homeroom – The Print Group the student is in
Teacher – The name of the teacher that recorded the point
Roster – The roster the teacher was viewing when they recorded the point
Type - The type of transaction, whether Behavior or Reward
Category – The behavior category of the point recorded
Behavior / Reward Name – The name of the behavior/point or reward that was recorded
Points – The value of the point recorded
Official Date and Time - The date that was set when the point was recorded (for when points are recorded retroactively)
Official Time - The time that was set when the point was recorded (for when points are recorded retroactively)
Data Entry Date – The date the point was recorded in LiveSchool
Data Entry Time – The time the point was recorded in LiveSchool
Location – The location that was set when the point was recorded
Comment – The comment that was recorded with the point
Student LiveSchool ID – The LiveSchool ID of the student that earned the point
Student Number - The Student Number of the student as it appears in Clever
Teacher LiveSchool ID – The LiveSchool ID of the teacher that recorded the point
Teacher Number - The Teacher Number of the teacher as it appears in Clever
The Record ID – a unique ID for each point entry submitted
Download Points Logs
Go to Setup > Site > Points Logs and then select which month you'd like to view.
Since LiveSchool deletes your data every year, make sure to download Points Logs if you'd like to reference your past years' data. Points Logs are available/viewable for the previous 12 months, even if data was cleared!
District Daily Uploads
District Daily Uploads is a LiveSchool reporting feature that allows your Points Logs to be uploaded to an SFTP server nightly. This would allow your District to:
Archive LiveSchool data long-term
Import LiveSchool Data to a data warehouse for custom analyses
Import LiveSchool Data to a system of record (SIS, LMS, etc.)
