Let's boogie. ππΌ
Who doesn't love a school dance? As a class to school, students can work together toward earning this incentive.
Sara Brady, principal of Marion County Knight Academy in Lebanon, Kentucky, uses whole school events like a school dance where the admission is 40 LiveSchool points.
Once students are in the dance, they can also βbuyβ food and school swag with points. The event becomes more about rewarding genuine effort, and less about paying an entry fee.
You can incorporate this into your House Points or individual points system in LiveSchool. For example, if Houses reach a certain threshold, they can earn a dance. The more houses that reach the threshold, the more that can participate!
Another popular approach is by requiring students to use LiveSchool points to enter the dance. For example, the dance can be an end-of-year celebration that costs 500 points. If students earn 500 points, then they can participate.
Or you can let the students or House with most LiveSchool points get a special privilege at the dance like early entry or an exclusive snack table. The options are endless!
