Recording: How to Plan, Implement, and Improve PBIS in Your High School

Let’s face it: schools are experiencing an uptick in behavior events. To address this, elementary and middle schools often implement PBIS. Can this work in high school too?

Callie Daugherty and her PBIS team at Wirt High School are showing that it can. 

Now, one year in, they’ve built a PBIS program that: 

• Holds students to high expectations
• Provides the consistency their staff needs
• Decreases behavior events that disrupt the learning process
• Gives everyone an opportunity to have a voice in the process

And it’s working! Referrals are down, engagement is up, and the staff is even reporting better working conditions.
